This account is available to Consumer Customers. It requires a $50 minimum opening deposit and has no monthly account service charge. There is no limit on check writing and no per check service charge. An F&M Bank Money Card or Automated Teller Machine/Point-of-Sale Card is available upon request. Other fees and charges may apply (for example: customer purchases checks, fee for optional Bill Pay service, and $1.50 monthly Point of Sale (POS) fee (per statement cycle) if used).

1 Free Checking describes that the account has no monthly maintenance fees (i.e. no recurring monthly service charges); other fees and charges may apply, such as a $1.50 monthly Point of Sale (POS) fee per statement cycle, if used.
2 Consumers must choose between eStatements or Paper Statements. eStatements require Online Banking, internet access, and an active email account.
3 The request of account information, without charge, by using the automated system or by speaking to a Call Center Representative. Fees may apply for other services including transfer of funds and stop payments.
4 To use Online Banking, Easy Mobile Banking, Email Alerts, and the SmartPhone App internet access and an active e-mail account are required and text messaging is desirable. To use E-mail Alerts, Easy Mobile Banking, or our EZ Banking Smartphone App you must also have our Online Banking service. Check with your mobile carrier about fees they may charge you for internet access, text messaging or other related services.
